Meet the Regular Contributors Behind the Responsible Photography Collective
May 31, 2024 Written by Lori A Cash
In December 2022, the Responsible Photography Collective (RPC) went live with three main regular contributors, Angela Maloney, Lori A Cash and Alyce Bender. We began this website and blog to help provide resources for other photographers and to advocate for responsible and ethical photography practices in the field. Recently, we have gained two new regular contributors, Jennifer Leigh Warner and Heather Valey. In addition, we have a couple of guest contributors. Therefore, I thought this month I would share a little information on each of the regular contributors here at RPC.
Angela and Lori conceived the idea of creating the Responsible Photography Collective and put the website together. We felt that responsible photography is a very important topic whether you are a casual cell phone picture taker or a professional photographer. We wanted to be a place for resources, discussions, and most importantly, advocacy for responsible photography practices in ways that do no harm to people, animals, and places that make up our world.

Her work as a fine art photographer is shown in regular monthly member shows. In addition, she taught photography classes at the gallery. To see more of Angie’s work, check out her website.

All our regular contributors have many years of experience in a variety of genres including nature photography, street photography, landscape photography, wildlife photography, conservation photography, and in multimedia creation. Responsible photography is about practicing photography in ways that we respect our world and all the creatures in it. We are here to share our knowledge and experiences through our resource page and through our blog.
With RPC we want to connect with photographers of all types of genres of photography. So, we are still seeking photographers in all genres of photography such as modeling, portraits, wedding, sports, nature, or journalism to become regular or guest contributors. So, if you are interested in joining the Responsible Photography Collective as a regular or guest contributor, please email us at responsiblephoto@outlook.com.
